RFK Jr. Makes Wild Trump Claim

RFK Jr. Makes Wild Trump Claim – Seconds Later, Donald’s Team Sets the Record Straight

It’s clear that both parties are scared of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s presidential campaign. He continues to win support from moderate voters—a group both Biden and Trump need if they expect to win in November.

Kennedy appears to be a bigger threat to Biden. Recent polling shows RFK taking liberal votes away from Biden, preventing the incumbent from securing a second term. Yet Donald Trump has become increasingly critical of the candidate. Perhaps it has something to do with comments like this?

RFK is reminding voters that both Biden and Trump supported lockdowns during COVID. Trump recently accused Kennedy—who advocates for much of the same policies as the Republican—as an “ultra-left radical.” Kennedy responded by revealing that Trump had sent “emissaries” to him, asking him to be his running mate.

Trump has not commented on RFK’s claim. But now, one of his surrogates is scrambling to deny these claims.

Chris LaCivita, a GOP strategist, is claiming “no one” from the Trump campaign approached Robert Kennedy to be his running mate. LaCivita, following Trump’s lead with ad hominem attacks, called RFK a “leftie loonie.” But offered little evidence for his claims.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is, like Trump, advocating for a secure border. He has vowed to build the border wall and end Biden’s crisis. It appears Trump and Kennedy share similar views on a variety of issues. Perhaps that is why Trump is becoming more pro-choice in recent days, to stave off losing moderate voters to the independent?

There has been no official statement from Trump’s campaign or the candidate himself on whether he did approach RFK. Political pundits had previously suggested Trump and RFK partner up—which could have been a pairing that Biden could not defeat.

Trump’s ongoing attacks against the moderate candidate risk him alienating independent and swing voters he needs if he wants to return to the White House.

Key Takeaways:

  • Robert F. Kennedy Jr. revealed that Trump “emissaries” asked him to be his running mate.
  • A GOP strategist claimed that was not true, accusing Kennedy of being a “leftie loonie”
  • Trump appears to fear Kennedy’s campaign and has accused him of being an “ultra-left radical,” despite RFK’s opposition to Biden’s socialist agenda.
