Texas Gov Abbott Just Told Biden “I AM DOING IT ANYWAY”

Texas Governor Greg Abbott, in a resolute declaration on Wednesday, vehemently opposed President Joe Biden’s efforts to impede Texas in fortifying its borders against the influx of millions of illegal aliens, a consequence of what Abbott deems as Biden’s imprudent border policies.

Abbott’s firm stance follows a recent decision by the U.S. Supreme Court, favoring the Biden administration, permitting the removal or cutting through razor wire that Texas had deployed to prevent illegal aliens from crossing the Rio Grande into the state.

Accusing President Biden of violating his oath to faithfully execute immigration laws enacted by Congress, Abbott asserted that instead of prosecuting immigrants for the federal crime of illegal entry, Biden has opted to litigate against Texas for taking proactive measures to secure the border.

Furthermore, Abbott criticized Biden for instructing agencies to disregard federal statutes mandating the detention of illegal immigrants, resulting in their unlawful mass parole into the United States. Abbott contended that, by allocating taxpayer dollars to dismantle Texas’s border security infrastructure, President Biden has lured illegal immigrants away from legal entry points along the state’s southern border, exposing them to the perilous waters of the Rio Grande.

Highlighting the staggering statistic that over 6 million illegal aliens have entered Texas through its southern border under the Biden administration, surpassing the population of 30 U.S. states, Abbott continued to invoke the wisdom of the U.S. Constitution’s framers.

Citing James Madison, Alexander Hamilton, and other visionaries who drafted the Constitution, Abbott underscored their foresight in preventing states from being at the mercy of a lawless president who neglects external threats like cartels smuggling millions across the border. Quoting constitutional provisions such as Article IV, § 4, which obligates the federal government to protect each state against invasion, and Article I, § 10, Clause 3, acknowledging states’ sovereign interest in border protection, Abbott argued that Biden’s failures have triggered the right of self-defense reserved to Texas by Article I, § 10, Clause 3.
