Finally, Donald Trump is now suing the Democratic National Committee, Hillary Clinton, and other key proponents of the Russiagate controversy, for creating a false narrative and tying his 2016 campaign to Russia.
The former president is seeking $72 million in damages and claiming the DNC and Clinton orchestrated the plot to vilify him.
The complaint stated:
“They worked together with a single, self-serving purpose: to vilify Donald J. Trump. Indeed, their far-reaching conspiracy was designed to cripple Trump’s bid for the presidency by fabricating a scandal that would be used to trigger an unfounded federal investigation and ignite a media frenzy.”
Besides Clinton, other named defendants include the Democratic National Committee, John Podesta, who served as chairman of Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign, and former FBI director James Comey.
Also named as a defendant was Christopher Steele, a former British intelligence officer who produced a dossier ahead of the election containing allegedly compromising information about Trump.
WND noted in their report that some of the highest-profile Democrats involved in their scandalous creation of the “Russian collusion” conspiracy theory against then-candidate and later President Donald Trump, could face a civil lawsuit.
The outlet added, “already, declassified documents have confirmed that then-CIA Director John Brennan, back when Barack Obama was in the White House, briefed him on Hillary Clinton’s purported plan to tie Donald Trump to Russia as “a means of distracting the public from her use of a private email server.”
Fox News confirmed that the revelations came from documents declassified under President Trump, by Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe.
Brennan’s handwritten notes went to congressional investigators and showed U.S. intelligence officials forwarded an investigative referral on Russian intelligence indicating Clinton approved “a plan concerning U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump and Russian hackers hampering U.S. elections” in order to distract the public from her own email scandal.
More details of this report from Just the News:
In a lawsuit filed in federal court in Florida, attorneys for the former president wrote, “Acting in concert, the Defendants maliciously conspired to weave a false narrative that their Republican opponent, Donald J. Trump, was colluding with a hostile foreign sovereignty.”
Trump, who defeated Clinton in the 2016 election, is alleging “racketeering” and a “conspiracy to commit injurious falsehood,” among other claims. The link between the Trump campaign and Russia that was, in Trump’s estimation, fabricated by the DNC and Clinton campaign, triggered an “unfounded federal investigation” and a “media frenzy.”
“Under the guise of ‘opposition research,’ ‘data analytics,’ and other political stratagems, the Defendants nefariously sought to sway the public’s trust. They worked together with a single, self-serving purpose: to vilify Donald J. Trump,” it reads.
“Everyone should go and at least read the introduction to this lawsuit, because it really is a good recap of up until November 3, what was really the biggest political crime in our history,” Harrington told Just the News Editor-in-Chief John Solomon and co-host Amanda Head.
