The Governor of Texas continues to go to work and make real progress for the state. He creates successful legislation and is a man of the people.
The issue in Texas are the Democrats who under no circumstance can agree on anything that Governor Abbott supports because why would they. They exist solely to oppose the Governor and eliminate any progress.
The latest comes from the Governor’s new bill that will revoke paychecks to Capitol employees who don’t finish their work and leave early. You don’t complete your work, leave early, and still want to be paid? Of course Democrats think you should still be paid.

Texas Democratic lawmakers who blocked one of America’s most restrictive voting measures with a dramatic walkout sued Republican Gov. Greg Abbott on Friday, after he vetoed funds that cover thousands of Capitol paychecks that he said shouldn’t be given “to those who quit their job early.”
Abbott spokeswoman Renae Eze responded to the lawsuit with a statement defending the governor’s veto power and called Democrats’ claims misleading. “This is not the first time, and undoubtedly will not be the last time, that a governor vetoes funding for government positions and salaries,” she said.
In his veto proclamation, Abbott wrote: “Funding should not be provided for those who quit their job early, leaving the state with unfinished business and exposing taxpayers to higher costs for an additional legislative session.”
Republicans’ commanding majority in the Texas Capitol means an elections bill will probably eventually pass, but Democrats have vowed to continue fighting GOP efforts to reduce polling hours and ballot access.
