Judge Judy’s Final Say on Trump Case

Judge Judy is known and beloved by TV viewers for her tough and uncompromising commitment to the law. She has entertained Americans for years on several syndicated daytime court shows. And she continues to speak her mind, even when it cuts against the liberal narrative.

She was recently speaking with CNN about the guilty verdict against Trump. This came from a courthouse in Manhattan, where Judy lives and works.

Perhaps CNN expected the famed judge to side with the mainstream view, that Trump is a vile criminal that deserves to be behind bars. But as a New York resident, Judy had a different perspective. And she is letting Democrats have it.

From The Washington Examiner:
TV personality Judge Judy Sheindlin has decried Manhattan [District] Attorney Alvin Bragg‘s hush-money case against former President Donald Trump as “nonsense.”

In an interview with CNN’s Chris Wallace, Sheindlin accused Bragg of using the justice system for his own “personal self-aggrandizement.”

“I would be happier, as someone who owns property in Manhattan, if the district attorney of New York County would take care of criminals who were making it impossible for citizens to walk in the streets and use the subway, to use his efforts to keep those people off the street, than to spend $5 million or $10 million of taxpayers’ money trying Donald Trump on this nonsense,” Sheindlin said.

Judge Judy Sheindlin blasted DA Bragg over his costly and infamous prosecution of Donald Trump. She ridiculed the Democrat prosecutor for going after Trump while neglecting the rampant crime hurting New York. Judy said citizens can’t walk outside or use a subway, thanks to an explosion in crime.

She took particular exception to the fact that the city spent “$5 million or $10 million” in tax dollars on the Trump case. Judy called it “nonsense.”

Judy isn’t a typical Trump supporter. She has even been critical of the former president in the past. But the bogus conviction has opened the eyes of many people. She even believes Bragg did it for “personal self-aggrandizement,” echoing many other Americans.

The New York conviction against Trump generated support for him in ways nobody expected. Trump’s campaign reportedly raised $200 million in the three days following the verdict. The candidate has said he raised over $400 million in the weeks following.

It’s interesting to see someone like Judge Judy, who’s known for her no-nonsense attitude, calling out the DA for what she sees as a wasteful and politically motivated prosecution. She’s highlighting a major issue here: the neglect of serious crime in favor of high-profile cases.

What do you think about her perspective? Is she right to criticize the focus on Trump while crime in New York explodes?

Key Takeaways:

  • Judge Judy Sheindlin blasted Trump’s conviction in New York, calling the case “nonsense.”
  • Judy accused DA Bragg of “personal self-aggrandizement,” slamming him for neglecting rising levels of crime in New York.
  • Since the verdict, Trump has seen a surge of support from outraged Americans coast to coast.
