It is possible that there is a logical explanation for what seems to be a muffled rifle shot coming from a window in the building where Thomas Michael Crooks tried to assassinate President Donald J. Trump.
However, until such an explanation is provided, we will entertain the possibility that it could be a suppressed gunshot and muzzle flash. The shot occurred shortly after Crooks fired eight initial rounds. The footage was posted on Twitter by user @RealDJstew724 on Saturday, who claimed to have captured it, and later shared the full video on their YouTube channel.

Could there have been a second shooter involved, possibly the “real” shooter hired by someone seeking to assassinate Trump but using a fall guy as cover? If so, what happened? Why didn’t the “real” shooter take the shot just before or at the same time as Crooks?
It was reported that Crooks was confronted by a police officer just before the shooting. Could he have been instructed to fire at a specific moment but was forced into action by the officer?
It’s conceivable, and it appears to be the only scenario in which a second shooter would wait until after Trump was already protected by Secret Service before taking a shot.
While this is speculative, it’s not entirely implausible.
Unfortunately, there will likely be no investigation as it gradually fades from public attention.
A user named @realDJstew724 on platform X has shared a video that he claims to have recorded himself at the site of the Trump shooting. The video appears to show the firing of a suppressed rifle from inside a first-floor window of the same building where Crooks was located on the roof.
While further verification is required, the user has stated that they will upload the raw video within a day or so. If not an elaborate hoax involving advanced audio and video manipulations, this footage seems to reveal a new shooter previously unknown.
Crucially, this apparent shot occurred just over 9 seconds after the initial round was fired, marking it as round #10.
This makes the counter-sniper shot from U.S. Secret Service round #11, occurring approximately 16 seconds after the first round was fired.
The accompanying images appear to capture muzzle blasts from a rifle discharged inside a room on the building’s first floor.
The muzzle flash is accompanied by an audio signature that resembles the sound of a suppressed rifle being fired.

EDITOR’S NOTE: The source of this video needs to be vetted. We have reached out to the user who posted it, and we are requesting original, raw video for further analysis. If this video is a hoax, it would represent a very difficult hoax to carry out, requiring strong technical skills in audio and video editing. If it is authentic, it completely changes the line of questioning (and timeline of events) surrounding this attempted assassination of Donald J. Trump.
