Trump RV Operator Rocky Granata Attacked with Hammer: Insights into the Assault and Legal Proceedings

On Friday, a 64-year-old man from New Jersey, known for operating a Trump-themed RV, was viciously attacked with a hammer and airlifted to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

Rocky Granata of Edison, a cherished father and grandfather, was a local and national familiar figure due to his Trump RV.

He regularly participated in Trump rallies, journeyed through various states in his RV, and engaged in the sale of merchandise.

Michael Gonzales, 36, has been arrested and charged with attempted murder in connection to the assault.

A 64-year-old man from Edison was hospitalized after he was struck with a sledgehammer during an attack at Crown Tire on Route 36 in the Port Monmouth section on Friday, according to police.

Michael Gonzales, 36, of Philadelphia, was charged with attempted murder. He was detained by witnesses at the scene and taken into police custody upon their arrival, said Middletown Deputy Police Chief Paul J. Bailey.

The victim suffered “significant injuries to his head” and was taken by helicopter to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, Bailey said.

An investigation has determined that Gonzales struck the victim in the head multiple times with a hand-held sledgehammer, Bailey said.

The callousness and disregard for human life displayed in this attack are deeply troubling and reflect a disturbing level of violence within our society.

Please pray for Rocky and his family during this time.
