President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden lied to a Gold Star mother who lost a son during their disastrous pullout from Afghanistan two years ago, the woman claimed, adding to her suffering.
The still-grieving mother claimed that Biden brought up his own son Beau, who passed away from brain cancer in 2015 in a Maryland hospital, in reference to her son’s death at the hands of a suicide bomber at the Kabul airport.
The president, who has a history of lying and copying, has a history of exploiting Beau’s passing for political gain.
Cherry Rex, who spoke to Congress about the 13 US service personnel who died because Biden’s poor military leadership put them in danger, said that the way he characterized his son’s high-profile death left her shivering.
Rex talked about the Hamid Karzai International Airport tragedy that cost her her son, Lance Cpl. Dylan Merola.
She reported seeing the Bidens at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware shortly after Merola was killed by a bomb in an area where all control had been given to terrorists and those evading them.
“Myself and the other families of our 13 were waiting for the plane arrival to the United States when Joe Biden, our elected president, entered the room,” Rex said.
“When he approached me,” she said, “his words to me were, ‘My wife, Jill, and I know how you feel. We lost our son as well and brought him home in a flag-draped coffin.’
“My heart started beating faster and I started shaking, knowing that their son died from cancer and they were able to be by his side.”
Rex, who became emotional, said she quickly wondered “how someone could honestly be so heartless to say he knew how I felt a little over 24 hours [after] learning of my son’s death.”
Rex claimed that Biden hasn’t spoken to her or mentioned her son’s name once since the young man passed away.
She hypothesized that this was as a result of the Biden Pentagon’s monumental failure to conduct itself in a manner consistent with traditional U.S. military protocol.
In a chaotic move that is unsurprising in retrospect, the president removed the most skilled and well-equipped military in the world from Afghanistan.
The Biden administration creates crises wherever it goes.
From the fentanyl crisis to the border problem to the murders of more than a dozen heroic Americans in a nation the military had ruled for 20 years, the president has blood all over his hands.
Biden avoids taking accountability at every turn.
The most perplexing aspect of Merola’s needless death, however, is how the president exploited it to legitimize himself in the tragedy just hours later, according to Rex.
For eight years, Biden has exploited his son shamelessly to advance his political goal, win up supporters, and increase his credibility.
If the grieving Gold Star mother’s claims are accurate, which there is no reason to think they are, then Biden is more than just a gullible blowhard who enjoys lying, staying up late, and being generally crooked.
America’s president is a failure on a scale that was previously unthinkable.
