A School That Sponsors A Satan Club Has Gotten Some Horrible News….
We’ve covered a lot of controversial topics recently, but this one takes the cake. An elementary school in Virginia is running an after-school program called the After School Satan Club.
Yes, you heard that right, a safe space for students to learn about Satan. And as you can imagine, Virginia locals are furious about it. I mean, who wouldn’t be?
Now, while we all agree that the club is inappropriate, some anti-Satanists might have gone too far. Just a few days after the school ran its first meeting of the After School Satan Club, the school received a bomb threat. Yes, a bomb threat! In response, the B.M. Williams Primary School in Chesapeake, Virginia, was forced to send students home early because of the threat to their lives.
The school had previously placed the institution of education into a “level one lockdown” because the threats posed by the anti-Satanists were very dangerous and very real.
The email alerting the school administration to the bomb threat read, “You are evil. There is no other way to put it. You promote devil worship and un-Islamic values.”
Now, unfortunately, the B.M. Williams Primary School in Chesapeake, Virginia, is not the only school across the nation that runs the Satan club in truth. The After School Satan Club is a nationwide effort put forth by the Satanic Temple. And according to the website describing the after-school club, the club does not teach Satanism to young impressionable students.
Lucien Greaves, who works as a spokesperson for the Temple, explained that the After School Satan Club is an effort put forth by the Satanic Temple to “educate children and encourage critical thinking” without forcing religious views down their throats. Although the after-school program does not teach Satanism, chapters of the club around the nation have faced massive backlash from outraged parents.
Back in November, a club chapter was created inside an elementary school in Tehachapi, California. Parents of students at the school were shocked and horrified by the Satan Club’s existence. One parent at the time called the club “disgusting,” while another said it was “a mistake” that needed to be rectified.
And in Virginia, parents also agree that the club has no place in the school. After the club first met on February 16, 2023, parents have been holding protests to try to shut down the Satanic club.
“This is a hassle, this is a lot, to be worried about your children’s safety over a club is unnecessary,” said one local mom. “They need to fix it,” another parent who spoke on camera with 13News Now said. “They need to stop it and get them away from the school.”
Now, whether or not the After School Satan Club stays in schools is a matter of debate. But what isn’t up for debate is the safety of our children. Making a bomb threat to a school is never an appropriate response to any issue, no matter how strongly one may feel about it. It’s not a way to resolve any dispute, and it’s not an example of what our country stands for. We should all agree that our children’s safety should come first, no matter what.
