The Democratic National Convention is set to kick off tonight. While Democrats want you to believe all is going smoothly heading into this convention, this clearly isn’t the case.
Joe Biden’s withdrawal from the race last month left DNC organizers scrambling to rewrite the script. They were forced to create an entirely different production around Kamala Harris, who until recently had been known as one of the least popular vice presidents of all time.
Unfortunately for these DNC organizers, however, their efforts may all be for naught. The mainstream media has been working overtime to make it look like Harris is a beloved figure who will unite the nation with all the support that she’s getting. Of course, the reality is that this could not be further from the truth. There’s so little passion behind Harris that television networks are reluctant to show the convention.
From Politico:
There was a time when the convention was “must-see TV.” The summer was filled with re-runs, and networks turned over four nights of prime time to the proceedings. Today, the production team has to convince the networks (broadcast and cable) to give time to the convention, and when covering it, actually show the speeches. That’s why at this convention, you will see at least one “must-cover” speaker each night: President Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton on Monday, President Barack Obama on Tuesday, President Bill Clinton and Governor Tim Walz on Wednesday, and Vice President Kamala Harris on Thursday.
Democrat Establishment’s Big Mistake
This, quite frankly, says it all about Democrats in this election cycle. Until just one month ago, they were all ready to blindly support Biden despite his apparent cognitive decline. The Democrat establishment is now expecting voters to unite behind Harris just because they tell them to. They usurped democracy by making Harris the Democratic presidential nominee without letting Democrat voters have any say in the matter.
No wonder TV networks are afraid that nobody will tune in for this convention.
Given how uncharismatic Harris has shown herself to be, it should come as no surprise that Democrats plan to rely on Obama and the Clintons at their convention. They hope that their big names will be enough to hide the fact that their nominee isn’t up to par.
Unfortunately for the Democrat establishment, the American people aren’t nearly as dumb as they think we are. They can collude with the mainstream media to pretend that Harris is a popular figure all that they want to. That’s not going to make the millions of Americans on both sides of the aisle who have been turned off by her for years tune into their convention.
In the end, Democrats should brace themselves for this convention to be a major failure, just as the last four years under Biden have been.
Key Takeaways:
- Democratic National Convention is set to kick off tonight.
- TV networks are reluctant to even show the DNC.
- Democrats had to scramble to rework the convention after Biden dropped out.
