How This Young Girl Kept A Sick Thug From Abducting Her Is Absolutely Perfect!

This little girl was so young and alone and she didn’t know what was going on. Luckily, she remembered a trick that her stepdad taught her. Thus, she was able to outsmart the abductors.

Josie Bowers was just 15 when this threatening situation happened. While the rest of her family continued to enjoy some time in the sun on the beach of Ocean City, Maryland for a vacation from their home in Canada, Josie went back to the hotel room by herself to take a shower.

Josie, who is now 19, thought that she was safe inside the Hilton hotel room alone. The young girl made sure to lock the door before taking a shower. However, something strange started to occur. A thug inserted a certain device under the door of the room as he tried to break in and get Josie.

Josie recalled thinking in her now-viral video:

“Before I could take a shower, I heard this noise, so I went over (to the door) to figure out what it was. I found this contraption. I was just standing there in my towel, and this man opened the door.”

“I’m in a towel now, and someone is about to break in and get me.”

Josie, who was raised by a police officer’s stepfather, wasn’t able to call the authorities or her family for assistance since she didn’t have cellphone service inside the hotel. Josie immediately slammed the door and used the deadbolt to keep it close.

The abductors on the other side of the door didn’t want to surrender and pursued trying to break into the hotel room to get Josie who was locked behind it on the other side. Since she was very innocent and didn’t know what was going on, she hoped to open the door a crack to see if it might be a worker from Hilton Hotel on an errand to do something inside their hotel room.

Good thing, this teen girl knew a trick that her stepfather taught that could frighten these intruders away. Her stepfather was a veteran police officer who made sure to teach Josie the trick so she would be a little bit safer every day – and it thankfully worked so well.

When the door opened a crack, she just slammed it back shut. Josie said that she could hear the thugs discussing on the other side of the door. Then one man said that they had just come to fix the doors.

Josie said:

“I didn’t really have time to process anything. My main thought was I am in a towel, and I’m naked. Do they have weapons? If I stop them, are they going to get mad? Hurt me?”

Josie was so young then and was all by herself, she didn’t know what was going on. Thus, she opted to open the door a little bit. She instantly could tell that the man on the other side of the door was not an employee of the hotel since they were just in jeans and a T-shirt.

Since her stepdad is a police officer, and he taught her never to let people know that she is alone. Thus, she yelled, and luckily, it worked as the would-be criminals ran away immediately.

Josie said:

“I yelled ‘Hey dad, there’s someone here to fix the door.’ As soon as they thought that I wasn’t alone – and potentially my dad was there – they ran, they were gone.”

Josie told the story in hope that her experience will alert others to the danger, encouraging them to stay safe.

Josie added:

“I’m glad I had this experience so I can teach people about it. Obviously, I’m safe but it could have ended up a lot worse. Be safe, you can get door stoppers, always put on the deadbolt.”
