McDonald’s Is Trying To Tell People They Can Get Free Food For Life….

A chance to win the historic McDonald’s Gold Card, plus three more for friends, which allows users free food for life, was announced by McDonald’s, noting for customers who use their app in December.

The “SZN of Sharing” event, according to the fast food giant, will take place from December 5 to December 25. According to Parade, anyone who takes advantage of the different app promotions throughout the month will be eligible to win the grand prize.

In a statement, Tariq Hassan, Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer at McDonald’s USA said:

Our fans have been fascinated by the lore of the McDonald’s Card and if it really exists. And now, we’ll make this McDonald’s legend a reality for our fans by giving them the ultimate holiday gift – a chance to win a card and then share access to it with three of their family or friends.”

“Just by using the McDonald’s App, everyone can experience the joy that comes with sharing McDonald’s this holiday season.”

Receivers of the card were eligible for the equivalent of two free meals each week for 50 years, which amounted to 5,200 free McDonald’s meals.

These renowned cards have been talked about for years, yet for a while, no one was certain they existed. It was eventually discovered that famous persons and other so-called “heroes” including Warren Buffet, Bill Gates, and Mitt Romney’s father George Romney actually did own these rumored cards. Also possessing one, Rob Lowe boasted about it in 2016 during a late-night visit on “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”

Franchise owners are free to bestow cards on “local heroes” as they see suitable. As the majority of McDonald’s Gold Cards are state or franchise-specific. The insider reported, the Lowe’s card may only be used at locations in Santa Barbara or Goleta, California.

Only Romney and Bill Gates have verified cards that are accepted at every McDonald’s location, as noted by the publication. Romney acquired his card directly from Ray Kroc, the proprietor of the chain.

In a brief partnership with the clothing line Cactus Plant, retro toys like Grimace, the Hamburglar, Birdie, and a brand-new character named Cactus Buddy were included in the “Cactus Plant Flea Market Box.” McDonald’s just introduced “adult Happy Meals” which comes with a toy.

The collectible toys, however, popped up on resale sites for inflated prices, as the popular items sold out quickly.
