In a clip shared to X on November 3, 2026, the account Western Lensman posted video of commentator Scott Galloway referring to Elon Musk as a “traitor to the West” and invoking the executions of Julius and Ethel Rosenberg.
What the clip shows
The Western Lensman post includes this quotation attributed to Galloway: “We lined up the Rosenbergs against a wall. This is a traitor to the West, and he should be held to the same standards as every other traitor in the West.” (Western Lensman on X, Nov. 3, 2026)
A historical correction noted by Hot Air
John Sexton at Hot Air wrote that the Rosenbergs were executed in 1953 via the electric chair at Sing Sing Prison, not “lined up against a wall” and shot.
Context offered by Hot Air
According to Sexton, Galloway’s “betrayal” reference concerned Musk’s recent decision to reinstate a Starlink speed limit so it could not be used for attacks. Sexton wrote that this reportedly interfered with some Ukrainian drone interceptors operating within Ukraine, while noting it should not have affected Starshield, the Pentagon-controlled military variant.
