Upon arriving at the scene, the responsible gun owner confronted White, warning him to stay put. Defiantly, White refused to comply, and instead, he turned to face the armed bystander. Having given the warning, the Good Samaritan had no choice but to fire at White, striking him with five bullets which incapacitated the criminal and allowed others to disarm him.

Miraculously, White survived the encounter despite being shot five times. He was treated at the hospital and subsequently charged with armed robbery. However, when his family found out about the incident, they were outraged that the Good Samaritan had not been arrested, revealing a sense of entitlement and a disregard for the safety of others.

White’s family claimed that the armed citizen should not have intervened, and instead should have turned a blind eye to the unfolding crime. While it was indeed a risky decision for the Good Samaritan to draw his weapon and attempt to stop the robbery, he only fired when he felt threatened by White’s reckless behavior.
