Progressive Democratic Rep. Mouth-Breather Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY) announced in an Instagram story this week that she is performing an act of “resistance” against Supreme Court decisions that she doesn’t like by getting a manicure.

Just to educate AOC and her liberal fans, there are 91 U.S. military veterans in the 117th Congress: 17 serve in the Senate, and 74 serve in the House. Among the 91, three combat veterans have a total of five eyes, five arms, and four legs. These American heroes represent the best of the best–their extraordinary courage, and exemplary.

However, none are braver than horse’s mouth AOC, who on Friday announced to her Instagram groupies that she would — in a super brave act of “resistance” — get her nails done. 

Here’s what AOC wrote in her so-called heroic way of defiance:

Hello, everybody, happy Friday. And I say ‘happy, because joy, too, can be an act of resistance. I wanna talk about personal acts of reclamation, because sometimes people will say, ‘There’s nothing I can do. … I feel so powerless.’

And, there is not act too small, um, that you can engage in. And, even today, I have a personal errand. Um, I need to redo my nails. And I’ve decided that I’m going to use my new manicure as almost like a personal act of reclamation for me.

AOC has consistently held herself out as a spokesperson for marginalized and downtrodden Americans.  She and Bernie Sanders are arguably the leaders of the American ‘progressive’ movement.

When she has been given the chance to move the ball forward on progressive policies, she has consistently betrayed her supporters.

When Speaker elections were going on after Democrats took control of the House in 2020, many advocated for her to force a vote on Medicare for All or get progressives in Congress to refuse to vote for Pelosi.  She relented and voted for Pelosi with no concessions.

Cortez has once again shown that she is out of touch with the people she claims to represent as she said that getting your nails done can be seen as a “personal act of reclamation” on Instagram.

Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York took to Instagram Friday to tell followers that she will be getting a manicure as a form of “resistance” in the wake of the recent Supreme Court ruling that overturned Roe v. Wade.

Representative Ocasio-Cortez explained that “personal acts of reclamation” can serve as personal forms of political protest even though people may feel powerless in light of the recent ruling, according to a tweet that reposted the New York congresswoman’s story

“I want to talk about personal acts of reclamation because sometimes people will say there’s nothing I can do…I feel so powerless… And there is no act too small that you can engage in,” the Representative reminded her followers.

“Today, I have a personal errand: I need to redo my nails. And I’ve decided that I am going to use my new manicure as almost like a personal act of reclamation for me and my story,” AOC declared.

Sadly, AOC’s legions of devotees who are dialed into her cult of personality are incapable of understanding that she is insulting their intelligence and she will almost certainly cruise to reelection this fall.
