Naturally, Rob was indeed slammed for that sign, but perhaps not surprisingly, that isn’t his biggest offender. He actually has recently put up a sign that mocks Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, calling them a name that is often used as an offensive term for describing women. This sign will also be offensive to snowflakes simply because it also includes a sexually explicit insult that is directed at this U.S. Presidential campaign ticket.
When the snowflakes demanded an explanation for why he would put up such an offensive sign, Roy essentially said that it’s “satire” and that they should “get over it.”
“I think that Harris is a tool for the left,” Rob said. “That’s definitely the entire meaning behind my sign. Of course, I meant it to be satire, and of course, the left didn’t take it that way.” Another one of his signs read: “Sue O’Connell will sit down with Democratic political strategist Alethea Harney, and they will talk about some of the biggest takeaways from the speech from Vice Presidential nominee Kamala Harris and what LIES AHEAD (Caps Ours) for her as she goes out on the campaign trail.”
Did everyone understand the sign? No. However, many of the neighbors and town officials DID understand the sign, but they didn’t think that it was funny. After all, Massachusetts has hardly ever been known as a bastion of conservatism. Maybe about three centuries ago in colonial days, but I digress.
“In poor taste, disgusting, and definitely derogatory to Senator Harris,” Town Manager Neil Harrington said.
“I don’t know how he gets away with these signs of his own,” one nearby Newburyport parent said. “It’s definitely an embarrassment for me to have to drive by one of his signs with my child in the care no less and then have to explain to them what he is going to do.” However, even though Michelle Robbins has expressed her displeasure, it has done nothing to sway Roy’s opinion in the least.
Simply put, Roy said that he knew all too well that the sign he was promoting would spark a reaction.
“This is what its all about, forcing people out of their comfort zones and making them talk politics, whether they be good or bad,” he said. “Yes, I did indeed put up this sign, and I was fully aware that there were some people who were going to get offended by it.”
That wasn’t the end of the story though. The narrative on the sign continued, reading that “the New York Times had spoke to several female political candidates from throughout the country who continue to take a stand against others who might give them negative consequences regarding their physical appearance or just basically sexual references.”
