The newest bad news for the brand indicates that it has lost favor in the pubs and restaurants where it was previously the best-selling beer. It seems like the news for Bud Light gets worse every month.
Conservatives find it enjoyable to observe and participate in the Anheuser-Busch brand’s steady collapse due to its woke, transgender-promoting attitude. The once-loved beer certainly doesn’t seem to be making a comeback at this point in the boycott.
Bud Light has fallen from first place to fourth in one important indicator in just four months, despite the dubious “help” of NBA star Charles Barkley.
By the middle of July, Bud Light had dropped to fourth position in on-premise orders at busy bars and restaurants, according to the hospitality data platform Union.
The site reported Wednesday that “guest ordering data” showed that the brand’s “fall from No. 1 was swift following the marketing controversy that spurred a nationwide boycott.”
“Sales of what was once America’s best-selling beer dropped 2.6 points from 11.3 percent dollar sales share to 8.73 percent at Union’s network of thousands of high-volume venues in the first week of the boycott alone,” Union reported.
“That sales spiral continued throughout Q2 at Union venues as the boycott took a stronghold across the U.S., dropping 34 percent in sales share compared to the prior year, since the fallout began on April 1,” it said.
Layne Cox, Union’s chief marketing officer, said in a statement, “Our on-premise ordering data shows that domestic beer brands are reaping the most benefits from the Bud Light fallout. Modelo may have unseated Bud Light at retail, but at high-volume bars and restaurants it’s a different story.”
The Mexican beer replaced Bud Light as the top-selling beer in the U.S. for months now, but Miller Lite has taken the top spot among bars and restaurants, according to Union.
“Union data reveals that guests are now spending more on Miller Lite than Bud Light in on-premise accounts. Miller Lite’s sales were up nearly 21 percent in the 3-month period ending June 30, while Bud Light’s sales were down by 34 percent,” it said.
According to the data, Michelob Ultra finished second to Miller Lite and Coors Lite took third. While this was going on, Bud Light fell to fourth position with sales falling 34.2 percent, continuing a downward trend.
Molson Coors is the owner of Miller Lite and Coors Lite. The same company that owns Bud Light and Michelob Ultra is Anheuser-Busch InBev.
Dos Equis, Corona, Guinness, Modelo, Stella Artois, and Yuengling completed the top 10.
Sales of Bud Light are plummeting, according to several of the pubs that Union works with.
The Blind Tiger Pub’s general manager, Clayton Dukes, told Newsweek that the brand’s current demand is “almost non-existent.”
“At first I thought this might blow over pretty quick, but I think it is pretty apparent that this isn’t going anywhere for a long time,” Dukes said.
You can understand why the bar owner would think that. Conservative boycotts in the past often lasted a few weeks before the majority of the right gave up and resumed purchasing whatever it was they were protesting.
But this time, the targeted brand has suffered significant repercussions.
But it’s not just conservatives who are harming Bud Light. Because the company’s management did not publicly support the collaboration with transgender TikTok star Dylan Mulvaney, supporters of the radical LGBT movement are also boycotting the company.
Mulvaney also blasted the beer that put his face on its can, saying, “For a company to hire a trans person and then not publicly stand by them is worse, in my opinion, than not hiring a trans person at all.”
However, the left-wing response is negligible in comparison to conservatives’ campaigns to ban beer.
Finally, we can say that our actions have resulted in severe, practical repercussions for a multinational organization that is engaging in the woke grooming of American children.
As we see the extreme, left-wing agenda being rejected in real-time, the success of this boycott must be ringing in the ears of every woke corporation out there.
But this is not the time to be forgiving of Bud Light. America, make its decline irreversible.
The Bud Light boycott demonstrates that you have the capacity to hold left-leaning businesses accountable for undermining your principles.
