After What He Did To Their Daughter Was Exposed, This Woman Set Her Husband On Fire!

A mother’s love is relatively the purest and most intense kind of love world. The things that a mother can do for their children are virtually limitless. But the effects of such unconditional love can cause a mother to do things that may not always be the best deeds if only to protect her child.

When Tatanysha Hedman found out that her 52-year-old husband, Vincent Phillips, raped and molested her daughter, from another man, she took matters into her own hands and lit him on fire.

The 40-year-old mother waited for her husband to go to bed, then when he was asleep, she poured a combustible liquid on him and lit a match. She then admitted to police that she intentionally set him on fire because shooting him would have been ‘too nice.’

The molester, Phillips, drove to a convenience store after getting set on fire and begged people to help him. They did not know that he was a molester of a seven-year-old child, so, of course, they did the honorable thing and helped the man in his moment of need.

“I’m on fire!” Phillips screamed to the people inside the store. “Help me!”

After medics and police arrived, Phillips told them, “My wife did it,” before passing out.

When a Renton detective questioned Hedman two days after the alleged assault, she said she bought gasoline, took it to the apartment, and poured it on Phillips to set him on fire because she believed he had abused a child.

“She also stated that she made up her mind that she was going to pour gasoline on him and not shoot him because that was too nice,” the police report said.

Phillips is reportedly taken to the intensive care unit of a local hospital. Luckily, Phillips didn’t die in the blaze and is being charged with a 1st-degree sex crime.

Hedman faces arson charges and assault charges. The state of mind of Hedman, at the time she set Phillips on fire, is being questioned, “should Hedman’s mental state at the time result in a lenient sentence when it comes time for the criminal court to address her situation of the crimes she is being charged with?”

The public is worried that the state will punish Hedman too harshly for her crime of passion.
