He Saw His Girl Being Assaulted By Her Ex, And Absolutely Exploded On…

When a man returned home, his girlfriend was being abused by her ex-boyfriend. The man, however, decided to handle his girlfriend’s ex business, when the ex decided to come at him with a knife.

20-year-old Hunter Joseph was shocked to discover an unwanted guest in his home when he got home to El Paso, Texas. But that doesn’t mean he wasn’t ready for the situation, just because he was surprised.

Every good man wishes to provide for and protect his loved ones and those who are vulnerable around him and to fulfill this duty, you don’t have to be a muscle-bound strongman or a martial arts expert. As Joseph demonstrated when confronted with the home intruder, you just simply have to be properly equipped and trained.

The intruder was identified as 23-year-old Aram Sida of Horizon City, KVIA reports. The intruder, who was allegedly carrying a knife, forced his way inside the house to face his ex-girlfriend, a 22-year-old who had started dating Joseph. Soon after, Joseph allegedly walked in to find his girlfriend being assaulted by her ex-boyfriend, as Police said.

Police wrote that the “investigation revealed Sida forced his way into the residence. Once inside the residence, Sida began assaulting the female victim,” in a report on the shooting.

When Joseph arrived witnessing the assault on his girlfriend, he told Sida to leave the house. But then Joseph grabbed a rifle when Sida charged at him with the knife, making Joseph pull the trigger. He shot Sida and killed him. Fortunately, Joseph and his girlfriend both avoided serious injuries as the El Paso Police Department report said.

The report concluded, “The homeowner told Sida to leave the residence and armed himself with a rifle. Sida charged toward the homeowner with a knife. The homeowner then discharged his rifle and shot Sida killing Sida at the scene.”

Officers received a report of a shooting and arrived at the home where they found Joseph, who still had the rifle near him, and the woman outside the house. Joseph told officers he shot Sida inside the home, officials said. Both Joseph and the woman provided the authorities with witness accounts and insisted that the fatal shooting was an act of self-defense. An investigation was then deemed the fatal shooting as “justifiable,” officials said.

However, just a few weeks have passed since the incident, there’s also shooting of a similar case in St. Louis. When officers arrived at a neighborhood home, with several gunshot wounds, and in critical condition, Officers discovered 58-year-old Michael Norman lying near the entryway. He was brought to the hospital in a hurry, but it was already too late. They discovered the 40-year-old homeowner inside, who was also injured, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported.

Police said that the homeowner, who they believed to be the shooter, said that he grabbed a gun and opened fire, accidentally injuring himself in the process; when he told police that Norman had entered his home and attempted to assault him. The homeowner was found in stable condition with a gunshot wound to his hand courtesy of his own firearm.

Deeming the shooting to be a case of self-defense, Prosecutors soon rejected filing a murder charge against the homeowner. When the homeowner was initially taken into custody on suspicion of second-degree murder and armed criminal action.

The right to self-protection and a justifiable defense of one’s property is one of the fundamental tenets of a healthy society.

Well, you can’t put a price on security, but investing in a reliable firearm is a good start. As these homeowners proved, the best way to ensure that your home and loved ones are protected is to arm yourself and undergo the proper firearm training. This sends a crucial message to would-be home intruders. Luckily, prosecutors agree that these cases didn’t warrant charges against the homeowners.
