She Disappeared Over A Decade Ago, And Police Just Got A Huge New Lead….

It is impossible to adequately explain the suffering that Madeleine McCann’s family has endured for the past ten years.

Their holiday in Praia de Luz, Portugal turned into a terrible nightmare when their young daughter disappeared. Madeleine, who was then three, had not returned to the condominium they were renting at the resort. Her family was shattered after she disappeared. Gerry and Katy McCann did not know what to do.

New theories and clues are surfacing as the 10-year anniversary of the incident drew near, including one that claims Maddie is dead and that her death may have been the result of an “accident due to neglect and possibly medication.”

However, the little girl’s nanny has now spoken out, and her version of events contrasts sharply with the “cover-up” idea that blames the parents.

The nanny said she is still haunted by what happened that night almost ten years ago and the image of dad, Gerry McCann, desperately trying to find his little girl.

There is “no way they did it,” according to the former babysitter who was present when Maddie and her parents, Kate and Gerry, went missing. She cites a number of factors, including the timing of the girl’s disappearance and the parents’ reactions.

Recalling the night that the three-year-old, whom she described as “a real cutie and a real sweetheart” disappeared, the former nanny said she was alerted to a disturbance at the resort and arrived at the apartment to find Kate McCann weeping.

She alleged that when they discovered Maddie had disappeared, her parents experienced severe panic and grief. She remembered Kate sobbing, “They’ve taken her,” as she paced up and down.

“She was crying, but almost in a catatonic state, and Gerry was very distressed. That’s the one thing I really remember from him, looking under the cars. I can’t forget that” The former nanny continued.

She looked after Madeleine several times, We were told to start looking in bins in case her body was in there. It was at that point we realised this was serious.”

The former nanny with other members of staff was part of a search party who looked around the Ocean Club Resort’s bins, and pipes leading to the sea, as well as searched the streets nearby. They also walked the streets of Praia da Luz until 5 am.

She also criticized the Portuguese police, saying they took 90 minutes to get to the resort and that they were constantly having people come and go from the flat, perhaps tainting any evidence. “I know I didn’t step into that apartment but pretty much everybody else did. So, evidence gone nothing. There was nobody there to say, ‘We need to lock this off now, The police didn’t get there for ages, maybe an hour and a half, so we were looking for her.” She said.

Madeleine vanished while sleeping in a room with her twin sibling sleeping from the family’s holiday apartment as her parents dined with friends at a tapas bar nearby.

The McCanns have expressed their deep sorrow for having left her, along with Sean and Amelie, then twins, alone when they were two years old. The lost girl would be a teenager by now, and her family has never given up looking for her and still believes she is still alive.

The nanny claims that it was “really normal” for parents to eat in a nearby restaurant while their children were staying at the Ocean Club resort.

She said that the resort was unsafe and that soon after starting work there, other staff members advised her to never leave the property alone and gave her a rape whistle to carry about.

The former nanny still hopes that the girl is still alive, and that “the best case scenario of a very horrible situation, is that she was procured and taken for a rich person who didn’t have children”.

Investigations are still going on in the McCann case. The Met announced they hope to investigate the “important final line of inquiry” and learn the truth about what transpired on that tragic day ten years ago with an additional $200,000 they had received for the investigation.

A rep for the Home Office told MailOnline, “The Government remains committed to the investigation into the disappearance of Madeleine McCann, We have briefed the Metropolitan Police Service that its application for Special Grant funding for Operation Grange will be granted.”

“The inquiry has not reached a conclusion, and we’re continuing with focus and determination. There are no immediate plans to reduce officer numbers further at this time,” The authorities added.
