Idaho gubernatorial candidate Ammon Bundy has carried a small copy of the U.S. Constitution in his front pocket for the past seven years. He does so to remind himself of what the government is supposed to do to serve the people without abusing its authority, he said.
Bundy continues to make headlines as election day nears. Bundy has been traveling the state hosting packed town hall meetings describing his platform for Idaho’s highest office.
Bundy had an opportunity to speak with us recently on his decision to run for governor and take several questions from callers. However, he is now getting more attention from a new social media ad trending nationally.
If you haven’t seen the ad, you can watch it below. Bundy’s new ad features him and a U-Haul moving truck vowed to help cover the moving costs of liberals who have vowed to leave the state if he is elected.
“Idaho liberals say that if I’m elected as governor, they will leave the state,” Bundy begins in the new ad. “Well, I’m here to tell you that when I’m elected governor, Idaho will help pay for their moving costs — after all, it’s cheaper than keeping them here.”

In his viral ad he said:
“Idaho spends nearly 40 percent of our annual budget on welfare programs. That’s almost four billion of your tax dollars going up in smoke every year. As governor, we will be getting rid of property tax, income tax, and your grocery tax,” Bundy said.
The candidate asserted that he will balance Idaho’s budget by ending the welfare state.
“Idaho isn’t California, and if liberals have a problem with that, then we will help them move there,” Bundy continued.
The ad concluded with Bundy winking and saying “no one is saying you have to leave, but if you’re going to stay here, you have to work like the rest of us.”
Bundy rose to fame in 2014 during a land dispute culminating in an armed confrontation between law enforcement and his father’s supporters, cattle rancher Cliven Bundy. He made global headlines again in 2016 for his involvement in the standoff at an Oregon wildlife refuge.

Our friends from TGP also highlighted Bundy’s recent campaign ad, wherein he pledged to end the “perverse assault on our children” by “all means necessary” on day one.
“Something is happening across America, and it isn’t isolated to California, New York, or Washington, DC,” the ad begins. “It’s in our classrooms, it’s in our libraries, it’s online, it’s in our streets, it’s in our parks — and it’s happening right here in Idaho.”
“Our children are being groomed,” Bundy says after footage of a child rubbing the crotch of a drag performer dressed as the little mermaid flashes on the screen.
“My name is Ammon Bundy, and when you elect me governor of Idaho I will protect our children and use all means necessary to keep them safe from this perverse sexualized ideology,” Bundy says. “It’s time Idaho puts groomers where they belong.”
“I’m running for Governor because I’m sick and tired of all of this political garbage—just like you are. I’m tired of our freedoms being taken from us, and I’m tired of the corruption that is rampant in our state government,” Bundy’s campaign website states.
“We can not afford to have state leadership that lets the federal government bully us, or walk all over us,” Bundy wrote. “And it’s an unfair fight, when the federal government unlawfully attacks the people—believe me, I know as my family and I experienced this first hand, when we were unlawfully attacked by federal officials at our family ranch in Nevada in 2014. But we did not back down, and thankfully, like-minded patriots across the country stood with us, as we fought back against federal tyranny to protect our land and our rights.”
“I am running for Governor to bring that same vigor, and willingness to stand for what is right, to the state of Idaho,” Bundy asserts.
